Ayesa awarded 3.6-million-euro IT contract by public employment agency

Ayesa, a global provider of technology and engineering services, has been awarded a contract of over 3.6 million euros by the Canary Islands Public Employment Agency to provide comprehensive maintenance services for its IT platform, systems and  infrastructure

The Canary Islands Public Employment Agency is an autonomous body created to promote, improve and foster employment in the Canary Islands. Ayesa will be responsible for maintaining the software on which the Employment Agency’s platform SISPECAN is based, to develop and implement new features and technology. The aim of the project is to enhance the existing technological ecosystem which spans more than 60 applications.

The Employment Platform serves a diverse range of users, including job seekers and individuals seeking to enhance their employment opportunities, as well as companies, partners, and agency staff. The aim is to provide all users with a streamlined and direct service, resulting in enhanced efficiency and improved outcomes.

Ayesa’s work will focus on key functionalities such as employment guidance, matching companies and jobseekers, training, uploading of open vacancies by companies, access to regional public employment services, internships and work experience, grants to help companies hire staff, and agreements with local businesses and other organisations.

At a technical level, Ayesa will optimise the cross-cutting applications used internally (including their components, web services and user management), and provide maintenance services across the IT infrastructure.

Ayesa has over 25 years of experience in the conceptualisation, design, development and maintenance of management systems for regional governments and public employment agencies in eight autonomous communities in Spain, namely the Canary Islands, Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, Castile and León, Valencia, the Basque Country and Catalonia.

Particularly noteworthy are its solutions designed to match jobseekers and companies, provide employment guidance, offer training and ensure effective data governance, as well as its applications for harnessing business intelligence, carrying out statistical profiling and managing labour disputes and workplace accidents.
