Ayesa secures Detailed Design Contract amid strong competition for the Jaipur Metro Expansion

Following a competitive bid process, DRMC appointed Ayesa as the detailed design consultant for both phases 1C and 1D.

Jaipur Metro is poised for expansion with two additional extensions to connect the southwestern and northeastern highways of the city by 2025 and 2027, respectively. These initiatives are integral to the Integrated Transport Management System and include the development of new metro stretches along with satellite bus stops.

Ayesa India has secured the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract for the highly anticipated Phase 1C and Phase 1D projects of the Jaipur Metro. The announcement follows a rigorous competitive bidding process initiated by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in July 2023.

These vital phases aim to extend Jaipur’s existing 11.98 km Pink Line (Mansaravor – Badi Chaupar), with Phase 1C connecting to Transport Nagar and Phase 1D reaching Ajmer Road Chauraha. Notably, Phase 1C includes an underground component (Package UG-03 – awarded to Afcons) as it traverses through the historic old city.

Phase 1C spans 3.412 km, with 0.96 km elevated, connecting Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar. It includes an underground station at Ramganj Chaupar and an elevated station at Transport Nagar. Phase 1D, covering 1.312 km entirely elevated from Mansaravor to Ajmer Road Chauraha, features an elevated station at Ajmer Road Chauraha and a 0.357 km loop line.

Commencing in July 2025 under the direction of DMRC, this contract underscores Ayesa’s commitment to delivering this 4-year programme. Ayesa is building on its previous success, having successfully delivered two heritage stations, Choti Chauper and Bari Chauper, for DMRC. The firm eagerly anticipates a successful partnership with DMRC and all stakeholders. Over the past decade, Ayesa in India has emerged as a leading design firm in the transport sector, with prolific design team in Architecture, Structure, MEP, and BIM capabilities.

Ashish Dasgupta Director – Business Development & Strategy (infrastructure) – at Ayesa India, shared his enthusiasm for the project: “We take immense pride in contributing our technical expertise to the Jaipur Metro project. This contract underscores our commitment to delivering sustainable transportation solutions, offering fresh perspectives, and building on our experience and technical excellence in delivering major transportation infrastructure throughout India and Southeast Asia. Our team at Ayesa looks forward to a collaborative journey with DMRC and all stakeholders, ensuring these expansions set new benchmarks in urban mobility.”
