Ayesa awarded DDC contract for E&M detailed design for the Bhopal and Indore Metros in India

Ayesa wins the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract for electrical and mechanical (E&M) systems as part of Phase 1 in the Bhopal and Indore Metros.

The contract includes nine underground and twenty-four elevated stations across five civil packages.

Ayesa is ranked 26th globally in transportation, according to the ENR Global Sourcebook, positioning it as a top 30 player in the sector.

Ayesa, a leading global provider of technology and engineering solutions, has been awarded the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract for electrical and mechanical (E&M) systems for the Bhopal and Indore Metros by MPMRCL (Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail).

Ayesa will deliver detailed designs for the electrical and mechanical systems across nine underground stations and 24 elevated stations, distributed among five civil packages. For the Bhopal Metro, this involves six elevated stations, two underground stations on the Orange Line, and 13 elevated stations on the Blue Line. In the Indore Metro, the scope covers five elevated stations and seven underground stations on the Yellow Line.

The Bhopal Metro project, known as the “Bhoj Metro,” is an MRTS currently under construction in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. This project features two lines spanning 27.9 kilometres, with 29 stations and speeds of up to 80 km/h, offering residents safe, reliable, and affordable mass transit. Similarly, the Indore Metro, also in Madhya Pradesh, covers 33.53 kilometres with 29 stations and will significantly modernise the city’s infrastructure. As both Bhopal and Indore are recognised as smart cities in India, the introduction of metro services is expected to stimulate economic growth across the region.

Over the past decade, Ayesa in India has emerged as a leading design firm in the transport sector, ranking 26th globally. The company boasts a highly skilled design team with expertise in Architecture, Structure, MEP, and BIM, delivering cutting-edge solutions that enhance system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.

Ayesa has been instrumental in several landmark projects across India, including ten metro systems in Bangalore, Delhi, Noida, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Kolkata, Chennai, and Kanpur. Additionally, Ayesa oversaw the entire Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor, India’s first semi-high-speed train project, managing everything from bidding and design to commissioning, operations, inspection, and statutory approvals.

More recently, Ayesa India secured the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract for two phases of the Jaipur Metro, marking another significant milestone in its portfolio of urban transport infrastructure projects across India.
