Ayesa Engineering to supervise the S11 expressway in Poland

It is one of the most important roads in the country, connecting to the Baltic coast. The budget for the works amounts to 269.3 million euros.

This project confirms Ayesa’s growing position as one of the leading international firms in the Polish engineering services market.

Ayesa, a global provider of technology and engineering services, has been awarded a major road contract in Poland, confirming its leadership in the local engineering services market. The General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways has awarded Ayesa a six million euro contract for the supervision of the complete execution of one of the country’s main expressways, with a budget of 269.3 million euros.

It concerns the S11 Kępno – A1, which connects the province of Silesia with the Baltic coast. The contract covers three sections between Kepno and the start of the Olesno bypass, totalling 45.7 kilometres. Ayesa will be responsible for the supervision of the design and execution of the works, as well as contract management, for a period of between 64 and 88 months.

In addition to the development and construction of the expressway, a road traffic management system will be implemented and bridges, animal crossings and noise barriers will be built. Innovative techniques will be used in the process to ensure the least environmental damage. To this end, noise impact will be closely monitored, hydrocarbon emissions will be reduced and animal migration routes will be taken into account.

Compliance with the highest environmental standards will contribute significantly to noise reduction on the new expressway, which will also be much safer for its users. It will also improve traffic flow and travel speeds.

A team of about 80 Ayesa experts will be in charge of coordinating and controlling the quality of the work carried out, guaranteeing the highest standards of execution of the investment.
