Thanks to the advancements in mobile devices and the integration of technologies like AI, IoT, advanced analytics, and machine learning, industrial processes have undergone a remarkable transformation. In today’s ever-changing economic environment, where markets can be unpredictable, companies need to be agile and efficient in their response to change. SAPA understands the importance of being able to adapt quickly and effectively.
In collaboration with Ayesa and the University of Mondragón, SAPA has embarked on an exciting digital transformation journey to optimize its operations. The goal is to leverage the abundance of data captured through IoT, AI, integrated analysis, and machine learning to make informed decisions. To achieve this, SAPA implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management, a cutting-edge and scalable ERP solution, in the cloud, with the assistance of Ayesa.
As part of the project, the IT consultancy seamlessly integrated the solution with SAPA’s key applications, including advanced warehouse management (SG&A), product lifecycle management (PLM), data capture at manufacturing plants (MES), demand-driven material requirements planning (DDMRP), and the latest version of Ayesa’s HR management solution, Iberper. This integration has significantly enhanced SAPA’s collaboration with third parties, such as clients and suppliers, making their interactions more efficient.
The initial phase of the cloud migration focused on financial and sales management, advanced production planning and control, as well as purchase and warehouse management, ensuring a smooth transition to the cloud environment.
In addition to implementing the new cloud-based ERP, Ayesa played a vital role in providing change management services to SAPA. This encompassed the deployment of various Microsoft platforms, including Azure services, Power Platform tools, and collaborative applications like Teams from Microsoft 365.
As a result of these initiatives, SAPA now possesses a vast pool of accurate and detailed information to support decision-making. Furthermore, the new solution empowers SAPA to meet the specific requirements of its projects effectively.
Significantly, the solution ensures compliance with the regulations set by international clients, enhancing SAPA’s ability to meet their needs. Moreover, it optimizes the efficiency and effectiveness of SAPA’s business processes, enabling streamlined operations.
