Ayesa is awarded a high-speed rail supervision contract as part of a €30 billion megaproject in Poland

Ayesa has secured a €7 M contract to supervise the design and construction of a new high-speed rail line in Poland.

Ayesa, an international provider of IT and engineering services, has secured a €7 M contract to supervise the design and construction of a new high-speed rail line in Poland.

The infrastructure is part of a €30 billion megaproject known as Solidarity Transport Hub or Central Communication Port, currently the largest transport infrastructure project in Europe. The initiative aims to create an intermodal international transport hub comprising a new airport, high-speed rail network and road connections.

Once up and running in 2027, it will be able to transport up to 45 million passengers, although this is expected to rise to 100 million.

The scope of Ayesa’s contract includes the supervision and design of a 17-km section of high-speed rail line from Łódź to Wrocław, connecting these two cities to the new airport. The project undoubtedly represents a fantastic opportunity for Ayesa to strengthen its position in Poland’s engineering services market.

In the words of Artur Majczak, Ayesa’s Country Manager in Poland: ‘During the design phase, BIM will be used to generate a digital record of all the physical and functional assets involved in the project. And to build the infrastructure, cutting-edge technology will be used, in accordance with strict environmental regulations’.

He also explains that one of the central goals of the megaproject is to bring new rail services and infrastructure to regions currently lacking these, thereby expanding the country’s rail network. The new lines will offer a quicker, more reliable and safer means of transport, including on some heavily transited routes. It will also connect to high-speed networks in the Czech Republic and Germany, thereby facilitating international transport.
