Ayesa project manages Acuarela, a flagship mega complex in Guadalajara
Ayesa has been entrusted by leading property Management company Grupo DMI to project manage Acuarela, a flagship mega complex in Guadalajara featuring residential towers, offices, a shopping center, a hotel, and a central park.
Ayesa, a global provider of technological and engineering solutions, is playing a key role in the Acuarela urban development mega project in Mexico, spearheaded by Grupo DMI, a leading property management company. This flagship project will create approximately 11,700 permanent jobs during the construction phase. Having worked on other projects with Ayesa, Grupo DMI has entrusted Ayesa to oversee various aspects of this ambitious development. Ayesa will manage the preliminary master plan and oversee the construction of Phase I, which includes 50% of the park and parking areas. Ayesa will also supervise the construction of two residential buildings, a sales office, and model apartments.
Jesús Nieto, Head of Architecture & PM at Ayesa in Mexico, states, “Our role covers the entire spectrum of design development, contracting, execution, and management, with a focus on achieving maximum efficiency while meeting the project’s quality and budget objectives.”
The Acuarela complex, located in Zapopan (Jalisco) within the Guadalajara metropolitan area, is a high-rise residential development featuring eight residential towers, three office buildings, a shopping center, a premium hotel, and a central park. Designed by the renowned global firm CallisonRTKL, the project spans 12 hectares and includes diverse residential options such as rental, sale, and senior living. Two residential towers are already completed, offering 139 and 147 apartments, respectively, and notable for their use of colored concrete.
This recent contract win follows Ayesa’s recent appointments to manage the construction of a 30 million euro pet food factory (ADM) and the expansion of Guadalajara Airport (GAP). The airport expansion project includes the construction of a new runway and terminal, with an investment of approximately MX$15 billion between 2020 and 2024, to establish the airport as a regional hub for seven neighboring states.
This new contract reinforces Ayesa’s strong presence in Jalisco and underscores its growing role in major infrastructure and development projects in the region.
