The Andalusian Health Service, part of the Regional Government of Andalusia, provides public healthcare services to a population of around eight million.
To cater to the extensive workforce and candidate pool, a sophisticated technological solution is essential for delivering top-notch services.
Understanding the significance of efficiency and sustainability, the regional government embarked on a quest for a comprehensive platform to address all HR-related requirements within its health service. This encompassed streamlining selection processes, reducing paper usage, and facilitating online completion of the entire selection process for candidates.
As a leading technology provider, Ayesa was chosen to develop Gerhonte, the biggest public-sector HR management platform currently in use in Spain, with more than 5,000 active users responsible for managing the employee records and payroll of more than 110,000 members of staff.
The company, which has been responsible for the system since 2015, was awarded a new tender in 2020 to provide maintenance services and upgrades, this being subsequently extended for a further three years in 2022.
Gerhonte is made up of various interconnected modules, which allow all aspects relating to the more than 100,000 members of staff who work for the Andalusian Health Service to be managed. This includes payroll, employee records, performance bonuses, union elections, shifts and attendance.
As part of the project, Ayesa is also responsible for developing and maintaining all the applications used for selection processes, including job postings and competitive processes for transfers/fixed positions. It is also responsible for the health service’s temporary job bank, which has seen more than 400,000 professionals register and over eight million certificates recorded.
Furthermore, a fully digital system known as Digital CV has been introduced for managing the information submitted by candidates relating to their qualifications, experience and other achievements. The system saves this information and allows it to be retrieved for other applications.
A multidisciplinary team from Ayesa is currently responsible for maintaining and updating this complex platform, which is set to feature a chatbot, dashboard and RPA in the near future.
Digital CV has significantly shortened selection processes and fully eliminated the use of paper by allowing candidates to complete their application online and retrieve information already submitted.
