Challenge
The gambling and betting industry in Spain generates annual revenues of approximately 5,000 million euros. However, businesses such as betting shops, bingo halls, and slot machines encounter difficulties in managing the strict formalities/regulations associated with their operations.
To address this issue, Ayesa has focused on creating a rigorous and highly secure digital administrative system to manage special permits and to connect and streamline the sector’s processes.
Solution
Ayesa has created a cutting-edge digital system for autonomous communities that streamlines all procedures related to private gaming and in-person entertainment from one unified platform. This endeavor was a challenging feat: we incorporated a back-office application based on a microservices architecture using Springboot and Angular to develop the infrastructure. Our team also integrated an ecosystem of e-government tools from various public bodies into the system.
Benefits
Thanks to this new platform, communities like Andalusia and Castilla La Mancha can conduct many of their procedures telematically (online) within a single day. This has given local authorities greater oversight over crucial aspects such as data management, machine and premises location, payment verification, and the nationwide consolidation of the interdiction register. Furthermore, the system has enabled police and industry inspectors to exercise more efficient control of gambling and gaming activities
