Challenge
The management of building permits involves multiple stakeholders, including architects, engineers, designers, and the property owner, all of whom must ensure that the construction adheres to both technical and legal requirements.
However, there often exists no common language for interoperability between different regions or authorities, resulting in data being stored in isolated applications.
Through the process of digitization and standardization, stakeholders can streamline their efforts and ensure strict compliance.
Solution
Ayesa has played a crucial role in establishing a digital environment for the management of permits and compliance in building and construction projects. The primary aim is to simplify the administration and processing of procedures.
The DigiChecks project is part of the European Horizon program for research and innovation spanning from 2022 to 2025, with a budget exceeding 6.5 million euros.
The initial step involved the creation of a standardized language for permits.
The platform aggregates data from various sources into a uniform structure, enabling computer processing in a consistent and repeatable manner
Benefits
The DigiChecks project introduces flexibility, user-friendliness, and efficiency into the permit validation and approval system within construction project environments. This tool operates seamlessly across countries, regions, and municipalities. Furthermore, DigiChecks incorporates interoperability with the various technological tools commonly utilized in this sector.
DigiChecks represents another stride in the DigiPLACE project, which seeks to promote global digitization within the industry.
Thanks to DigiChecks, external developers will have the capability to craft novel, innovative, and dependable permit applications.
