Ayesa appoints Isabel Rodríguez Vicente Director of SAP after 26 years at the German multinational

The move is part of the company’s efforts to maximise the efficiency of its clients’ operations through SAP services and solutions.

Ayesa has appointed Isabel Rodríguez Vicente its new Director of SAP. Up until now, she has held the position of Customer Success Director at the German multinational. The appointment comes after more than 25 years at the company, during which time she worked in various areas, most recently focusing on maximising the efficiency of client processes through SAP solutions.

Upon joining Ayesa, Isabel explained how she is passionate about ‘bringing digital technology to business strategies and processes, with the aim of transforming how they operate, helping them achieve their goals and making them “smarter”’.

After starting out her career in Accenture’s consulting area, she then joined SAP, going on to hold various leadership roles focused on increasing its market share in the public sector. This saw her oversee business development, partner strategy development and the introduction of the company’s go-to-market strategy in Spain. For more than eight years, she led diverse, multicultural teams within its sales area, formulating sales strategies for major IBEX35 companies through complex B2B sales processes.

She notes how, during this time, she gained ‘in-depth knowledge of how medium and large businesses develop and implement innovative digital transformation strategies’, going on to explain how this involves ‘harnessing the benefits of hybrid on-premise/cloud solutions, and deciding on an optimal cloud architecture (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, BTaaS, etc.)’.

Furthermore, as Customer Success Director, she coordinated teams to ensure the success of projects from start to finish, allowing clients to achieve their goals. ‘Our role was to drive change, improving the efficiency of sales and after-sales processes with the aim of allowing clients to offer maximum value to their customers’, she remarks.

Isabel is also an active member of various associations and organisations. One that particularly stands out is WA4STEAM, where she acts as a SaaS (software as a service) and B2B sales advisor. This growing international community of women supports and invests in women-led STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) start-ups. She is also a member of Ágora IGE and IGE (the Institute for Corporate Governance), as well as EJE&CON, an association of executives that promotes genderless talent in Spain, where she has been part of the Board Member Enablement Program. In addition to this, she is a mentor on various programmes, such as #SteMatEsElla, which supports young STEAM professionals, and Progresa, aimed at women executives. She also collaborates with Fundación Quiero Trabajo (the ‘I want to Work’ Foundation) and Cáritas.
