Ayesa strengthens its Banking and Insurance Division under the leadership of Carlos Fernández Igualada

Ayesa, a global provider of technology and engineering services, has appointed Carlos Fernández Igualada as the new Director of Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI), as part of its strategy to strengthen and specialize in this key sector.

BFSI is one of the five markets served by Ayesa’s IT division, alongside Digital Government and Healthcare, Energy and Utilities, Telco and Media, and Industry and Consumer.

Bringing a solid track record in both the financial and technology sectors, Carlos joins Ayesa’s leadership team with the mission to position the company as a benchmark in the IT sector, develop new business capabilities, enhance the company’s value proposition, and support clients in their transformation and leadership journeys.

His arrival marks the start of a new chapter for Ayesa’s BFSI segment, where the focus will be on innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

An Agronomical Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Carlos Fernández Igualada has over 26 years of experience in financial services consulting and an outstanding international profile, having held leadership roles at companies such as Capgemini and Accenture. Throughout his career, he has worked with more than twenty organizations across fifteen countries, building a global and strategic perspective on the sector.

He will be responsible for defining and executing the growth strategy in the banking and insurance sectors, aligned with Ayesa’s corporate objectives. His key responsibilities include designing the commercial plan, developing business lines, leading digital transformation initiatives, and coordinating sales and service teams to ensure the delivery of innovative, scalable, and secure solutions.
