Ayesa appoints Nicolás Costábile Chief Corporate and Transformation Officer

In addition to his job as Managing Director of Corporate Services, Nicolás is leading the transformation and organisational changes required by the group’s new strategic plan.

Ayesa, a global provider of technology and engineering services, has appointed Nicolás Costábile Chief Corporate and Transformation Officer (CCTO). In addition to his role as Managing Director of Corporate Services which he has held since 2019, Nicolás will oversee the transformation and organisational changes as outlined in the group’s new strategic plan.

Nicolás holds a PhD in Law and Social Sciences from the University of the Republic in Montevideo (Uruguay) as well as an LLM in International Business Law from Queen Mary University of London. He joined Ayesa in 2018 as Head of Legal Services and a year later became Managing Director of Corporate Services and a member of the company’s Management Committee. Prior to this, he spent five years at the London office of the international law firm WilmerHale.

The aim of this new appointment is to build on the successful growth of the group in recent years and ensure it is prepared for upcoming market changes and to achieve strategic goals as part of its ambitious plans. His role is to accelerate transformation projects and ensure they are implemented with maximum efficiency and maximum success.

Since 2022, when A&M Capital Europe became a majority shareholder, Ayesa has experienced a period of rapid inorganic growth. During this time, the group has doubled in size building on the successful legacy of José Luis Manzanares Japón.  Concurrently, Ayesa has acquired a number of companies, the most recent being Emergya in April of 2024. This latest acquisition has strengthened its capabilities in AI and positions Ayesa as one of Europe’s leading Google partners.

Ayesa’s goal is to be among the top five technology service providers in Spain and the top 50 engineering firms in the world. José Luis Manzanares, CEO de Ayesa, explains: ‘This process requires a complete corporate transformation to ensure we have the very best management systems in place. It also means making a series of changes to ensure we are in the best position to adapt and constantly improve. I have no doubt that Nicolás, with his successful international track record and exceptional leadership skills, is the best person to oversee this’.
