Challenge

The West Footscray DC is a hyperscale-ready data centre currently in design for a site in West Footscray. Its architecture responds to growing power density demands, especially from emerging GPU technologies, with support for over 15kW per rack.

Our work

Ayesa is leading the design phase, focusing on innovation to manage high heat density and future-proof the facility.

Designed to T3+ fault tolerance standards, DC prioritizes sustainability with a target PUE below 1.3. Stage 1 includes 5,000 m² of data halls, 2,600 m² of MEP services, and 4,000 m² of rooftop plant space.

Ayesa completed the DA submission in compliance with Australian and international data centre standards (TIA/EIA/942-A and ANSI/BICSI 002). Their scope includes environmental assessment, coordination with utilities (e.g., Jemena), and developing the basis of design and high-level schematics.

Ayesa also collaborates closely with Greenbox Architects, conducting acoustic analyses and multiple stakeholder workshops to align build strategy, infrastructure integration, and site-specific engineering.
