Challenge
Iron Mountain's MAD-1 data center in San Fernando de Henares, Madrid, is a strategic expansion into the Spanish market.
The campus, acquired from XData Properties, encompasses 60,000 m² and is being developed in phases.
The first phase includes a 4,000 m² facility with 3 MW of IT power. Future phases aim to increase capacity to 22,000 m² and 79 MW, catering to hyperscale and enterprise clients.
The campus is powered entirely by renewable energy and is designed with a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of less than 1.4, reflecting Iron Mountain's commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency.
Our work
Ayesa is developing BIM Modeling for construction documents and the As-Built model for the facility's diesel installations, ensuring efficient cooling systems and operational reliability in case of power failures.
