Challenge
The project involves the construction of the A2 motorway on the Mińsk Mazowiecki – Siedlce section, 37.43 km long. Located in the TEN-T core network in the North Sea – Baltic corridor. The project is being implemented to create a safe section of the road, ensuring high comfort of vehicle traffic and increasing access to the trans-European TEN-T corridor, and improving the quality of local communication links by appropriately connecting the planned route with the remaining road network.
Ultimately, all users will be able to use the constructed section of the road.
The project is non-discriminatory and is adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
The project will result in the creation of 37.43 km of modern and safe road.
Our work
Considering the scale of the undertaking, the strategic importance of the section in the TEN-T network and its impact on regional mobility and the quality of transport services, effective implementation of the investment within the planned budget and timely implementation activities are of key importance. Ayesa Polska manages three construction contracts, providing comprehensive investor supervision and project management on behalf of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.
The works include the construction of a modern section of the A2 motorway with a length of 37.43 km, connecting the Kałuszyn junction (the end of the Mińsk Mazowiecki bypass) with the city of Siedlce. The investment aims to integrate it with the existing road system, eliminate transit traffic from built-up areas and improve travel safety and comfort.
The project also assumes the implementation of activities to reduce environmental nuisances, such as acoustic screens and full accessibility of the route for all users, including people with disabilities.
Added value
The construction of the A2 motorway on the section Kałuszyn junction (end of the Mińsk Mazowiecki bypass) - Siedlce is an investment of national importance resulting from the need to create a transit road system in the country. Removing transit traffic from towns crossed by the existing national road no. 2 (international road E30), including the city of Kałuszyn.
Removing transit traffic from urban areas by building a motorway is beneficial for urban areas, because transit traffic disorganizes and disrupts the lives of residents.
It causes a very significant nuisance for residents in the form of accidents, noise, exhaust fumes and vibrations.
By overlapping with urban traffic, it leads to serious street congestion.
Routing traffic through the newly built motorway will provide much greater benefits for users and the environment than leaving traffic on the current route.
For drivers, driving on the newly built A2 motorway on the Kałuszyn - Siedlce section will be beneficial due to the shorter travel time and increased road safety by reducing the number of intersections and eliminating direct access to the road from fields and properties.
The use of acoustic screens to protect residential areas exposed to increased noise emissions should largely eliminate this nuisance.
Calming traffic in towns will increase the comfort of residents and increase their safety.
