Digital Realty's BCN1 data center in Barcelona represents a significant advancement in sustainable digital infrastructure. Strategically located to serve as a key connectivity hub in Southern Europe, BCN1 is designed with a focus on energy efficiency, aiming for a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.2.
The facility will utilize 100% renewable energy and incorporate systems for heat reuse, contributing to local sustainability initiatives.
With a power capacity of 15 MW and a built area of approximately 18,580 square meters, BCN1 is poised to support the growing demands of cloud service providers, enterprises, and network operators in the region.
