The drafting of the project for the construction of the El Bayadh Wastewater Treatment Plant began with the drafting of a successful bid for Isolux.
The bid was drafted in 2009, and after the awarding of the tender and signature [of the contract] between the construction joint venture and the Office National de L`Assainissement (National Sanitation Board), the construction project was drafted between 2011 and 2012.
The object of the Ayesa contract was the development of the construction project as a basic document for the approval of all the necessary procedures, and that simultaneously served as the basis for the execution of the project, searching for easy-to-apply solutions.
The works consisted in the preparation and drafting of the project for the construction of the El Bayadh Wastewater Treatment Station in Algeria, with 123,000 inhabitants and a design flow of 19,700 m3/day.
The project includes the design of all the civil works, equipment and facilities necessary for the proper functioning and operation of the WWTP.
- Water line: pretreatment. Biological reactor based on an activated sludge system with prolonged aeration.
- Sludge line: thickening of sludge by means of gravity thickener and dehydration by band filters.
- The project also includes the different auxiliary buildings.
