Satellite Desalination Plants on the West Coast

This project involved eight reverse osmosis desalination plants, located on the coast of the Red Sea, the purpose of which was to provide drinking water to the medium-sized and small cities on the west coast of Saudi Arabia, from Farasan (by the border with Yemen) through to Haql (near to the border with Jordan).

The scope of the work carried out by Ayesa was to produce the conceptual design (preliminary design) report, carry out site surveying (topography, bathymetry, geotechnics and a wave/current study), as well as to draft the detailed specifications for the tender.

After providing the tender documents to pre-qualified bidders, Ayesa helped respond to any queries received by these bidders, as well as draw up the tender evaluation reports until the project was awarded to an EPC contractor.
