Mumbai Metro-Line 3

Mumbai Metro Line 3 will become the first underground line in Mumbai, a city with more than 25 million inhabitants in the west coast of India. The line has a total length of 33.5km and 27 stations, all of them underground. Ayesa is currently working in four of those stations (Kalbadevi, Girgaon and Grant Road) and 4 kms of tunnel approximately.

The stations that Ayesa is designing are located in the heart of the heritage area of Mumbai and because of the same the design includes NATM portions in the stations, the difficulty to work in such a congested area is challenging and the best engineering practices have to applied to get a successful result.

The 33.5km line is the first underground line in Mumbai and it is expected to carry almost 1.4 million passengers per day on 2021, therefore reducing road congestion as well as cutting down the load on the local train lines.
