Ayesa undertakes the project management, interface coordination and technical assistance of the second line of the Panama Metropolitan Railway.
The Secretariat of the Panama Metropolitan Railway devised this system as the structuring component of the integrated public transport network of the metropolitan area of the capital. In its first stage, Line 2 will have a length of 21 kilometres of elevated track and will feature 16 stations.
These works have been allocated a budget of 2.062 billion dollars.
This new line will have an initial capacity to transport 16,000 passengers per hour and is designed for an annual capacity of more than 40,000 per hour and travelling direction.
