Yeast plant in Mexico

The yeast plant in Veracruz was developed by Ayesa for AB MAURI (belonging to the British group ABF, one of the world leaders in the food industry). This is one of the world’s largest plants in terms of instant dry yeast production capacity, also combined with the production of liquid cream processed at the Baker Ingredients factory owned by the company AB CALSA in the Puebla area. From a technological point of view this yeast plant meets the most advanced developments for such installations, in terms of both hygienic design according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), optimized energy processes, fully automated in its operations and with specialized multiple effluent treatment systems.

All these features that have been introduced at this plant allow yeast production with the highest quality standard in the industry, and in highly competitive conditions to tackle the yeast market in the Americas.

One of the biggest challenges for Ayesa has been to provide our own technology to an established world leader in the yeast industry like AB MAURI, to efficiently integrate the requirements this manufacturer sought for this project, and to do so in a multicultural environment characteristic of a multinational with partners worldwide. The project has been developed jointly with decision centres in London, Australia, the United States and Canada, customer staff at its plants in South America (Brazil and Argentina ), and by including other "partners" from both Mexico and Canada or India.

The work of Ayesa as technology leader through all the phases of the project has been our primary objective and the great work carried out by all the professionals involved has allowed us to reach the commissioning and start -up stage with every guarantee, and once again our team has led a complex plant start-up in an exemplary manner, along with our customers and suppliers, in order to achieve great success in quality and time and the full satisfaction of AB MAURI.
