UBE nylon factory

UBE has been producing nylon for more than two decades in the El Serrallo chemical complex (Castellón, Community of Valencia), although the firm that it acquired has been operating for half a century. In 2013, the Japanese group made a first extension, whose project awarded to Ayesa, as an 'open book' project mode project.

In 2017, it undertook a larger expansion, with which Ayesa was also entrusted. The agreement included the review of the basic engineering carried out by UBE, the detailed engineering, the management of the purchases and the construction of the new nylon manufacturing line.

The works entailed:

  • Reaction unit.
  • Washing unit
  • Monomer recovery
  • Drying
  • Pelleting
  • Storage
  • Auxiliary units: Cooling tower and Cold unit
