Landscaping
The future La Sagrera Station, known as the “Station of Stations” in the northern part of Barcelona, will be a premier intermodal transportation hub, seamlessly integrating high-speed railway (AVE), suburban trains, metro, buses, taxis, and private vehicles. Ayesa is pivotal to this project, responsible for drafting the construction plans for both the railway and bus stations. Their work encompasses the design and installation of architecture, façades, flooring, escalators, lifts, and the development of the park on the station’s canopy/roof. Ayesa’s design proposal features an open, modern approach, harmoniously integrating the station with its surrounding neighborhood. They have also tackled the complex construction of the roof, which includes skylights to bring in natural light and supports the park above. The facilities and landscaping of La Sagrera will blend seamlessly with the street layout, connecting commuters with the community and transforming the station into a vibrant public space.
