At Ayesa, we specialize in creating versatile and multifunctional modern-day hospitals, healthcare, and research facilities. Our designs feature adaptive layouts and welcoming spaces that prioritize well-being, learning, and rehabilitation. With a global presence and involvement in several global iconic hospital and healthcare projects, our goal is to champion sustainability while meeting modern needs.
Meeting the Sustainability Challenge
We create sustainable healthcare environments that are resilient and adaptable, incorporating the latest renewable energy efficiencies. The Panama City Hospital Complex, designed by Ayesa and Pinearq, is situated on the historical Santo Tomás Hospital site along the Panama Canal waterfront. It exemplifies our commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability, seamlessly integrating with adjacent national historical monuments and gardens. The complex features 720 beds, 28 operating theatres, and 30 delivery rooms, significantly expanding critical areas and enhancing parking capacity. Additionally, the former outpatient building was renovated to serve as a Research and Development Center.
Urban Revitalization
Ayesa led the transformation of an unused mid-20th-century water tank in Seville into a cutting-edge research and technology centre for EMASESA. This adaptive reuse project highlights Ayesa’s expertise in sustainable development, integrating innovative design and a comprehensive Building Management System (BMS) to enhance efficiency and functionality, setting a new standard for urban revitalization.
Patient Care and Innovation
Ayesa is at the forefront of integrating innovative technologies and patient-centred designs to create environments that support better health outcomes and improved patient care. The White Lodge, an award-winning treatment centre for children with cerebral palsy in Worplesdon, UK, recognized with the Better Healthcare Special Judges Award, exemplifies our commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare design.
