In the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid, the Adecco Foundation celebrated its 20th Anniversary under the honorary presidency of SSMM the King and Queen of Spain and the participation of the Minister of Employment, Migrations and Social Security, Magdalena Valerio Cordero.
Within this framework, the CEOE president, Antonio Garamendi, Enrique Sánchez, president of the Adecco Foundation, and José Isaías Rodríguez, Patron of the Adecco Foundation, presented the Alliance #CEOPorLaDiversidad and the first CEOs signed a commitment to promote diversity policies in their companies. Thus, 60 CEOs of large companies operating in Spain have decided to accompany the Adecco Foundation and the CEOE Foundation in this event to publicly formalize their commitment.
The mission of this Alliance is to unite the CEOs of the main companies in Spain around a common and innovative vision of diversity, equity and inclusion (De&I), acting as promoters and ambassadors to help accelerate the development of strategies that contribute to business excellence, the competitiveness of talent in Spain and the reduction of inequality and exclusion in Spanish society.
José Luis Manzanares Abásolo, CEO of Ayesa, has signed the Alliance #CEOPorDiversity and has conveyed that "the different enriches companies and their employees. And companies have the duty and the need to learn how to manage it if we do not want to be left behind".
The 60 CEOs who join this Alliance "recognize" diversity, equity and inclusion as fundamental values that enrich companies and strengthen their competitiveness. On the other hand, they "undertake" to promote diversity strategies in their companies, to involve their Management Committees and to create a common vision of diversity.
