Ayesa set to open a technology centre in Burgos with a team of 150 professionals

Ayesa, a global provider of technology and engineering services, will soon open a technology centre in Burgos. The site will initially have a team of 100 professionals, although this will increase to 150 once it is at full power.

This latest opening is part of the company’s strategy to focus on local talent and job creation throughout Spain by strengthening its relations with universities in regional capitals and establishing a presence in medium-sized cities with significant digital capabilities.

The aim is for the team here to become a leader in Castile and León as far as high-quality technology services and applied technologies go. It will form part of Ayesa’s national network of offices and will offer software factory services involving public-sector digitalisation solutions as well as Next Generation EU funded projects.

Germán del Real, Managing Director for Spain at Ayesa, highlights that the decision to choose Burgos is the result of a thorough analysis, which has seen the city excel on a number of fronts, including the prestige and quality of its universities and vocational computer science training institutions. ‘We’re proud to be able to contribute to generating wealth at a local level by creating a significant number of new jobs and bringing our major digital transformation contracts to the city’, explains Pedro.

The Managing Director also notes how Ayesa is a company with an impressive track record when it comes to growth, explaining how this will undoubtedly ‘benefit all our technology centres in terms of volume of work and lead to new offices being opened in Spain in the near future’.

The technology centre will be located in the Centro Europeo de Empresas e Innovación [European Business and Innovation Centre] in Burgos. Ayesa has already begun the recruitment process and is getting the premises ready for use. Nevertheless, staff here will be able to combine office and remote working.

Ayesa is one of the world’s leading providers of engineering and technology services with 5400 employees and a permanent presence in 18 countries. In terms of IT, the firm has particular expertise in the development and implementation of solutions for companies and the public sector. As such, it is responsible for large technological platforms designed to allow multinationals in sectors such as utilities to manage their processes, and governments and institutions to handle their operations and services.

In Castile and León, Ayesa is responsible for the maintenance and evolution of the employment service system known as Sicas, as well as the career skills and training service system Seguifor.
