PhD in Civil Engineering (1964 and 1973).
In 1966, he founded the engineering company AYESA.
He is a professor in Structures at the Seville Higher Technical School of Architecture (1975).

Expert in hydraulic mathematical modelling and continuum mechanics.
Creator of the Epic Structures school, with emblematic projects such as the Puente del Dragón bridge in Alcalá de Guadaira (Seville) and the Ibn Firnás bridge (Cordoba)
He has given presentations at more than a hundred scientific congresses and authored thirteen books.
Academician of the Royal Seville Academy of Sciences (1996).
Academician of the Royal Andalusian Academy of Social Sciences and the Environment (2006).
Medal of Honour from the College of Civil Engineers (Madrid, 1985).
Puente de Alcántara Award for the La Serena Dam (1989) and the channelling of the Segura river (1995).
Eduardo Torroja Award for Seville’s Olympic Stadium (2000).
Medal of the City of Seville (2010).

PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Seville (1992 and 2006).
Senior Company Management Programme (PADE) at the IESE business school.
Associate lecturer in the Continuum Mechanics Department (Structures II) at the Seville School of Architecture (1996-2006).
She began her career at Abengoa (1992).
In 1996, she joined AYESA, where she has held various management positions.
In 2004, she became CEO of ACT Sistemas, where the group’s IT area is based.
Between 2005 and 2007 she was Corporate General Director.
Since May 2011 she has been Executive Vice President for Consulting and Technology.
Thanks to her contribution, the group has gone from being a traditional engineering company to a firmly international one.

Civil Engineer (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, 1996).
Postgraduate course at the Seville Higher Technical School of Architecture.
General Management Programme (PDG) at the IESE business school (2006).
Since 1999, he has been an associate lecturer at the University of Seville.
He joined AYESA in 1996 and, amongst other positions, has been the group’s CEO.
Since 2012, he has been the Executive Vice President of Engineering and Territory.
He has been the motor behind the company’s process of international expansion. Today, AYESA is present in 17 countries and is involved in projects in 50.
