We are involved in the Smart City project in Malaga which is one of the first integrated intelligent network application initiatives in a real European urban environment. Our involvement includes network integration of remotely managed digital electricity meters, where consumption patterns and personalized rates are received, consumption data are recorded even for periods under an hour, and minimization of the cost of the energy consumed is enabled.

The most representative of such solutions is the social services corporate processing system that handles the various administrative procedures from recording applications and processing incentives to the payment of benefits, non-contributory pension or those under the Dependency Law.  We have also developed information systems to manage domestic abuse protection orders, detection and reporting of child abuse, management systems for nursing homes or tracking systems for immigrant children.

We are taking our innovations to the most disadvantaged. One result of this awareness-raising is the creation of a self-help portal to provide carers with recommendations on adapting the workplace (computer, keyboard, mouse) specifically for people with disabilities, or the Advanced Home Automation Multimedia Telecare Platform for drug and alcohol services.

We specialize in providing support and maintenance services for the basic software and hardware infrastructure of the information systems of hospitals and primary care providers in large healthcare organizations in Spain. As a result of this in-depth functional knowledge, we are undertaking an ambitious project to develop an Integrated Trial Management System for the New Judicial Office (NOJ).  With considerable investment and part-funding from Europe, this project, called e-IUS, represents a commitment to providing the complex world of the law with a system to streamline procedures and respond to the demands made by the NOJ of judges and Justice secretaries and officials.

Our knowledge also extends beyond the development of information systems to include management and consulting projects, such as the Judicial Network of Andalusia Management Centre, which provides services to more than 10,000 job roles, or computer support for the Judicial Bodies and their training, where trial experts provide consultancy to judges and lawyers.

We have developed and implemented in several Spanish regions a modular platform that provides complete management of the educational situation and structures the professional community and citizens it serves.  Includes specific modules and components for the diverse needs that such a wide a group has throughout the school year, from administrative and academic management of the schools, to enabling parents to monitor their children through a telematic platform, which includes a corporate virtual classroom.  And all delivered over the Internet without the need for any installation on client machines and therefore available at all times in any place and becoming a permanent meeting place.  More than 10,000 schools currently use it.

The Integrated Educational Platform has modules for the management of education centres that manage the single, centralized, digital student record, with features that allow online registration and management of scholarships, canteens, breakfast clubs, attendance monitoring, and which are complemented by the management of the staff themselves.  It covers all areas of educational management, including integration with other systems.

In parallel, we have designed a specific internet distance learning project model (eLearning) associated with Formal Education academic qualifications such as Vocational Training, Adult Secondary Education, Distance Baccalaureate or Official Language Schools distance learning.

We have also produced a set of highly innovative solutions in the university sector that has resulted in advanced management systems to support the assessment of teaching activity or the educational guides management system.

Biofuels

Fuels from renewable sources

As a consequence of the never-ending increase of energy demand all over the world, it becomes necessary to increase fuel production from renewable sources.

Bioethanol is an alcohol produced from corn, sorghum, potatoes, wheat, sugar cane, and even biomass, such as corn stems and vegetable waste. Mixed with gasoline, it increases the octane number while it promotes a better combustion, reducing the contaminant emissions from exhaust, such as carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons.

Biodiesel is a fuel created from vegetable oils or animal oils, apt as a partial or total substitute of gasoil in diesel motors. Biodiesel is easy to use, biodegradable, non toxic and also has no sulfur or aromatic compounds.

Polluted soil and water regeneration

Contamination, due to industrial or agricultural activity, is a key quality factor for soil and also for underground water. Ayesa performs analyses, develops projects and carries out installation works for decontamination.

We carry out detailed preliminary studies by through collection and laboratory analysis of soil and underground water samples using field probes and soundings, supported by computer software.

Once the volume and spread of the soil and underground water contamination has been determined, we design and implement an optimal decontamination system, depending on soil and contaminant type and use of the soil, following the risk analysis methodology set forth under RD 9/2005 on soil contamination.

With this objective, we exploited to the maximum the opportunities presented by the newest technologies such as, the geodatabase, the teledetection, digital treatment of images or decentralized access to information through internet.

Our outcomes cover fields such as noise strategic maps, river restoration, public use and green areas infrastructures, water quality or biological indicators.

Dams

Project, management, safety, conservation and maintenance

We have extensive experience in the design of large dams and management of their construction. We work both nationally and internationally, with all types of customers, in both the public and private sectors.

We have built dams of various types (loose materials, vibrated concrete, rolled concrete) and we always offer our customers the solution that best meets the needs of each situation.

Equally noteworthy is our vast experience in the area of dam safety standards on several contracts and in the ongoing update process in response to the growing demands imposed by the legal framework in this area.

Of particular note are our dam maintenance and conservation works carried out in the Rivrer Basin Districts of the Guadalquivir, the Segura and the Duero and our involvement on the Zapotillo dam in Jalisco (Mexico).

River Hydraulics

Control and prevention of floods

Fluvial hydraulics is the study of the behaviour of rivers and estuaries. It enables us to predict the reaction and evolution of a river to any human invervention, in the bed and on the banks, floodplains and the land adjacent to the banks.

We carry out analyses of flood vulnerability and defence of populations against flooding, delimitation of the public water supply, rehabilitation of rivers and riverbanks and diversion projects.

The complex nature of fluvial hydraulics makes it essential to have knowledge in hydrology, geomorphology and sediment movement. We have a multidisciplinary technical team with considerable experience and we use the most widely used most robust software on the market.

Irrigation

Irrigation systems optimization

We were the first to transform and modernize large irrigation zones. In the recent past we have been hired or collaborated in every large-scale transformation project for irrigation in: Genil-Cabra, Canal de Navarra, Segarra – Garrigues, Zújar, Irrigation Zone Center of Extremadura, etc; and more recently, in the modernization of traditional irrigation systems in: Estremera, Manganeses, Irrigation of Alto Aragón and Cataluña, irrigation zone of the Bottom Valley of Guadalquivir, Rice Zone of the Guadalquivir marshes.

We have a very extensive experience that results from the decades of work that position us in the forefront of the irrigation systems techniques and optimization. We are specialists in the automation and regulation of big channels and in the hydraulic and energetic optimization of irrigation networks; with or without the need of pumping. We have at our disposal our own applications, such as the CANAL and SITRA programs, for the transitory simulation that have been widely contrasted in numerous facilities.

Hydrology

Balance for our hydric resources

We specialize in every aspect related to the Hydrological Planning process: calculations of the available resources with precipitation-hillside erosion models, the study of underground resources, resource allocation and reserves with management models, as well as the study of extreme phenomena such as droughts and avenues, measurement plan evaluations, etc. For this, we use the best hydrological and hydraulic models available, as well as our own internally devised Geographic Information Systems and various applications for easier analysis and exploitation of obtained results.

We collaborate with the main water management organizations in Spain: Ministry of Environment, Rural and Marine (Ministerio del Medio Ambiente, Rural y Marino); Hydrographic Confederations (Guadalquivir, Tajo, Segura, Júcar, Duero, Guadiana); Water Andaluza Agency; Environment and Infrastructure Office of the different Autonomous Administrations, water supplying companies, etc.

Within the last few years we have carried out several projects of Hydrological Planning in Mexico and Morocco.
