Integral system for the diagnosis and losses of water distribution networks based on GIS open systems

This R & D Project was financed by the Ministry of Education and Science for the development of an integral system for the diagnosis and losses of water distribution networks based on geographic information open systems.

The novelty of the project is the investigation of new models, techniques and tools in the prediction of Water Consumption Models in urban cores.  In order to obtain an effective Management of an Integral System for the Diagnosis and Losses of Water Distribution Networks an internet-based system is being developed and will allow to capture, structure and integrate the information associated to the water life cycle in the grid, making them accessible to potential users, regardless of their location.

The system runs a diagnosis of the network condition and the active control of the quality service, with special emphasis on the leaks.
